Regional Minister outlaws lateness to functions

Kadjebi, Jan. 26, GNA-Public functions in the Volta region would, as from this year start and end on schedule.

The Regional Minister, Mr Kofi Dzamesi stated this, during Peoples Assembly sessions in Kadjebi and Kpando.

To demonstrate his seriousness, Mr Dzamesi on Wednesday broke protocol and drove to the forecourt of the Kpando district Assembly from Ho to begin addressing the few chiefs and people who had assembled there long before others streamed in to the fill the vacant seats.

He said it was unjustifiable and discourteous to keep people, especially Chiefs waiting for those who did not seem to place any value on time.

Mr. Dzamesi therefore, urged political office holders in the region to set the pace by acting on time and not hesitate to address the few people who would be punctual.
