People’s Assemly Slated For January

Mr Kwamena Bartels, Information and National Orientation Minister, announces that President J. A. Kufuor will address the Jubilee People’s Assembly Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at the Parish Hall of the Christ the King Catholic Church in Sunyani, the Brong Ahafo Regional capital.

He opines that the Information Services Department will mount a photo exhibition on development projects, as part of the Jubilee Assembly, to be opened by the President.

The Minister adds that Muslims throughout the country will say prayers for the nation this Friday, January 12, 2007 whilst Christians will take their turn Saturday, January 13 and Sunday, January 14, 2007, respectively.

Mr Bartels explains that after the Jubilee People’s Assembly, regional and district people’s assemblies will be held from Friday, January 19 to Sunday, January 28, 2007.
