Herbal doctor says MOH should collaborate with herbalists

Asenemaso (Ash), Jan 9, GNA – Dr K.A. Ampomah, the Director of Ampomah Herbal Research Centre, has appealed to the Ministry of Health to partner herbalists in the cure of certain ailments through the use of herbal medicines.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency, he said such a partnership would enhance the treatment of certain ailments.

He mentioned cancer, stroke, diabetes, typhoid, asthma, heart diseases, gonorrhea and HIV/AIDS as some of the diseases that research had shown that the use of herbal medicines could be helpful in their treatment.

Dr Ampomah appealed to the ministry to encourage herbal researchers to motivate them to do more.
