Christians urged to be committed to God

Ejisu, (Ash), Jan. 2, GNA – Christians have been urged to show commitment to the work of God, which demands greater attention and sacrifice at all times. Reverend Father Thomas Oppong Mensah, Parish Priest of the Saint Anthony Catholic church at Ejisu, made the appeal when he addressed choristers of the church at the annual singing competition held on Sunday at Ejisu. He every Christian should strive to be dedicated to the call, as well as being humble and obedient to their leaders.

Rev Father Mensah said singing was one way of worshiping God and that they should let the songs reflect their real life and desist from all forms of immorality. He commended the choirs for their performances and pledged the church’s support to their activities to ensure that they used music to win souls for Christ. Mr Clement Champing, President of the choir union, said the competition was to unite them spiritually and also use the occasion to review the activities of the unions in the past year.
