Wassa West District Assembly fulfils pledge to UMaT

Tarkwa(W/R), Dec. 31, GNA – Wassa West District Assembly has presented a cheque for 100 million cedis to authorities of University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) at Tarkwa. The amount is the last instalment of a 300 million cedis pledge made by the assembly during the inauguration of the University. Mr Emmanuel Kwasi Ayensu, Wassa West District Chief Executive, presenting the cheque said it was their contribution towards the development of the University.

Professor Newton Amegbe, Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University who received the cheque thanked the assembly for fulfilling its pledge and gave the assurance that the money would be well utilised for its intended purpose.
