Arrest warrant for Veep`s son

A Bench warrant has been issued for the arrest of Farouk Aliu Mahama, son of the Vice President Alhaji Aliu Mahama for his alleged involvement in a ¢1.8billion swindle.

The Chronicle gathered that while an Accra court had issued a warrant for the youngster, his friend, Nana Poku, who had been arrested by the police has been remanded in custody.

The Enquirer Newspaper had reported that the duo had allegedly conspired to swindle the businessman, Emmanuel Kwame Mainoo.

When The Chronicle contacted the Greater Accra Regional Police Commander, ACP Douglkas Akrofi Asiedu, he declined to comment.
