Former District Chief Executive for East Gonja is dead

Accra, Dec.11, GNA- Mr Jerry Draman Jackson, former East Gonja District Chief Executive, in the Northern Region, died in Accra yesterday (December 10) after a protracted battle with a kidney problem. A family source told the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Monday that Mr Jackson, 50, was one time a Senior Technical Agriculture officer with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture and twice the Presiding Member of the District Assembly.

He was also the District Director of the National Commission for Civic Education.

Until his death, the National Democratic Congress activist was the Executive Director of the Juxtapose Integrated Development Project, a non-governmental organisation.

Surviving him are his wife, Alice, and three children.
