Heads of schools attend workshop

Kadjebi (V/R), Dec. 7, GNA – Mr John Kwasi Hobenu, the Volta Regional Director of Education, has said there was the need for heads of schools to have good relations with other stakeholders in education for efficient running of schools.

“You must all be good team builders and remain supportive of each other by offering and receiving constructive criticism from all angles”, he said Mr Hobenu said this when he addressed headmasters and boards of directors of eleven schools and colleges in the Jasikan, Kadjebi and Nkwanta districts at the end of a two-day training workshop at Kadjebi-Asato.

He said the fallen standard of education in the Volta Region was largely as a result of lack of collaboration from stakeholders and called for a change for the region to regain its former glory in education.

Mr Hobenu said all stakeholders were operating individually devoid of purposeful agenda.

“This is suicidal and detrimental to the future of the younger generation.”
