NFED honours 13 facilitators in the Ahanta West District

Agona-Nkwanta (W/R), Nov 7, GNA – The Ahanta West Office of the Non-Formal Education Division (NFED) on Tuesday presented awards to 13 facilitators for promoting the Adult Literacy Programme in the district. The facilitators were drawn from Ampatano, Kanfakrom, Awuna Beach, Aboadze, Himakrom, Boakrom, Boffin, Cape Three Points, Agona-Nkwanta, Akwidda and Abura.

The awards included bicycles, sewing machines and ghetto blasters. Speaking at the function at Ampatano, Mr Joseph Assabil, the District Coordinator of NFED, called on the people to embrace the functional literacy programme.

He said topics treated at classes are of immense benefit to the people and would help them to contribute positively towards the development of their communities and the nation as a whole.
