Be apostles of peace -Agyei

Akwatia, (C/R) Sept 29, GNA – Mr Samuel Agyei, interim chairman of the Akwatia branch of the Convention Party (CP) has urged the party members to be apostles of peace and tolerance.

They should avoid politics of confrontation and present the party’s programme in a manner that would win the votes of the electorate. Mr Agyei was speaking soon after his election as the interim chairman of the branch at Akwatia.

He said ideas and not insult, violence and threats should characterise the politics of the 21st century. Other officers elected included Alhaji Iddi Moro,”father” of the party, Nana Kofi Ampofo, vice chairman, Issa Gyiminu, secretary and Mr Albert Zida, assistant secretary.
