“Greening Ghana Initiative” launch postponed

Accra, Oct. 26, GNA – The formal launch by President John Agyekum Kufuor of the Greening Ghana Initiative scheduled for Saturday has been postponed indefinitely, a statement from Ghana@50 Secretariat in Accra on Thursday said.

The statement signed by Mr Henry Okyne, Public Affairs Officer, said the postponement was due to “unforeseen circumstances”. It asked groups that had already collected seedlings to go ahead to do the planting at their sites.

The statement said groups that still wanted to participate in the Greening Ghana Initiative should contact the project office on Tel. (021)763807.
