Accra, Oct. 6, GNA – With immediate effect, all gates leading to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, except the main gates to the new Administration Block, would be closed everyday at 2200 hours. A statement signed by Mr Mustapha Salifu, Public Relations Officer, said the directive had become necessary because of reported cases of staff harassment and security threats by armed robbers on the hospital compound, the statement said.
=93Members of the general public, who are bringing patients to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, should take note of this directive and cooperate with the Hospital authorities in this bid to protect life and property in the Hospital,=94 it said. 6 Oct. 06
