Chief Imam warns against alien Muslim Preacher

Accra, Oct. 6, GNA – The National Chief Imam, Shiekh Osman Sharabutu on Friday warned about an alien Muslim Preacher, who has been preaching disunity and instigating Ghanaian Muslims to take up arms to support fugitive Osama Bin Laden. The Preacher has also been creating confusion among Muslims and Christians, he said in a statement issued in Accra. The statement advised all Muslims in Ghana not to follow the Preacher.

He said Muslims and Christians had been living together peacefully and advised those, who had the tendency to instigate Muslims to stop it. The Preacher is said to be showing videos of Osama, who has been declared a wanted man following his role in the September 11 attacks in the US, calling on Muslims to take up arms against infidels.
