SRC appeals for action to resolve NAGRAT strike

Ho, Oct. 4, GNA – The Volta Regional Students Representative Council has appealed to government to act on the grievances of the National Association of Graduate Teachers to enable its members to return to the classrooms.

“Our concern stems from the fact that, it is we the students that bear the brunt of the entire impasse,” a press release signed by Master Fiagbe Raymond, Regional President of the SRC, said. The SRC is made up of second cycle institutions students who hail from the region.

The release said frequent interruptions in the education sector in the past three years have seriously disrupted the smooth implementation of the academic syllabus.

The release said the prevailing situation could mislead students to indulge in unproductive activities, which might eventually degenerate into demonstrations in their bid to express their frustration.
