Methodist University to start distance programme

Takoradi, Oct. 3, GNA – The Reverend Professor Samuel Agyepong, Principal of the Methodist University College (MUC) has said the college would begin a four-year distance programme in Religious Studies in December this year.

This will increase the College’s faculties to six, he told the Ghana News Agency in an interview at Takoradi on Monday. Prof Agyepong said the distance programme would be interactive and distance during the period of study.

Presently, the College runs Business, Social Studies, General Studies faculties at its Dansoman Campus in Accra while it has an Agricultural Faculty at Wenchi. There is also a Satellite Campus at Tema for Post-Graduate Business Studies.

The College is running Masters Programmes in Guidance and Counselling, Business Administration, Mathematics, Science, Planning and Development.

Prof. Agyepong said at the moment 3,000 students were pursuing different academic programmes at the College’s faculties and campuses.
