Atwima-Nwabiagya MP expresses appreciation to Asantehene

Nkawie (Ash), Oct 1, GNA – Mr Beneto Owusu-Bio, Member of Parliament (MP) for Atwima-Nwabiagya, has lauded a recent visit to Barekese and Owabi dams by the Otumfuo, Osei Tutu II, and expressed the hope that the communities would heed his advice to guard against encroachment of lands in the catchments.

The Asantehene was in the Atwima-Nwabiagya constituency to inspect the state of the two dams and activities of encroachers around them. The MP hoped that with Otumfuo’s intervention, chiefs would be cautious against the wanton sale of lands around the dams. He appealed to the Ghana Water Company Limited to extend potable drinking water to Amoaman, Bokwankye and Kapro communities, whose lands were used for the construction of the dams.
