Results in nine electoral areas in Tema released

Tema, Sept. 28, GNA – Results of Tuesday’s district level and unit committee elections from nine out of the 54 electoral areas in the Tema Municipality, have been released by the Electoral Commission (EC). So far, the name of only one female contestant had come up as having won the election as an assembly member. The candidate-elect, Mrs Esther Sintim Missah, a 51-year-old accounts clerk, contested in the Ashiboi Electoral Area, and won with 704 votes, as against 518 votes by her opponent, Mr Ebenezer Adjetey Kraku.
