Apam citizens donate items to hospital

Apam (C/R), Sept. 1, GNA – The Roman Catholic Hospital at Apam at the weekend took delivery of two washing machines and a quantity of detergents donated by Apam citizens resident in Italy.

Nana Effrim X, Apaahene, handed over the items, worth about 3.2 million cedis to Dr C.N Takyi, obstetrician and gynaecologist in charge of the Apam hospital, at the weekend. Dr Takyi thanked the donors and gave the assurance that the items would be used judiciously.

He appealed to the donors, the general public, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and the well to do in the area to help construct a laundry house at the hospital. Nana Effrim commended the three medical officers and staff of the hospital for their good work, which he said has attracted
