Minister inspects school project

Dodowa (GAR), Aug. 30, GNA – Mr Kwadwo Baah-Wiredu, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, on Wednesday inspected a two-million school building project being funded with HIPC funds for the Ghanatta Secondary School at Dodowa.

The building was among projects selected by the government to ensure that every district had one model school.

The Minister made the unscheduled visit to the school after launching a Treasury Re-alignment project in the town. “This project started when I was the Minister of Education and I have made it a point to visit the school to know how it was doing anytime,” Mr Baah-Wiredu explained.

He was accompanied by Mr Christian Sottie, Controller and Accountant General, Mr Nii Adu Mante, Member of Parliament for Osu Klottey, Mr Adowe Nortey, District Chief Executive for the area and some officials from the Finance Ministry.

Mr Baah-Wiredu said although the project had delayed, he was satisfied with the quality of work.
