GAR Military recruitment held in Tema

Tema, July 24, GNA – More than 2,800 youth thronged the Tema Sports Stadium on Monday to register for enlistment into the military. They were being recruited into the Army, Air force, Navy and medical Services.

According to the Greater Accra Recruitment Team leader, Lieutenant-Colonel Peter Ghansah, the exercise would be in two phases. The first phase which entails age screening, body selection and an aptitude test, will end on Wednesday.

The second phase involves further interviews and traits to fit various departments in the Military, he said.

He observed that apart from the applicants being anxious, the exercise has been “the most peaceful, smooth and quiet one”.
