Ministry to perform wreath laying and healing ceremonies

Accra, July 20, GNA – The Ministry of Tourism and Diasporean Relations would next week perform wreath laying and healing ceremonies as part of activities marking the 2006 Emancipation Day celebrations. A statement signed by Victoria Antwi Sarpong, Public Relations Officer of the Ministry, said the wreath laying ceremonies would be in Accra on July 28 at W.E.B. Du Bois Centre, George Padmore Library and Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park.

The healing ceremony would be done in memory of descendants from the US Virgin Islands at Du Bois Centre on July 29.

The theme for the celebrations is: ‘Emancipation, Our Heritage, Our Strength.’
