University of Ghana begins outreach programme on admissions

Accra, July 19, GNA – The University of Ghana, in conjunction with the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools, is embarking on an outreach programme in the various regions to educate the public and secondary institutions on its admissions process. A statement issued in Accra on Wednesday from the Registrar’s Office said the programme, which would be from July 24 July 30, was meant to clarify issues on admission requirements, choice of subjects and related matters that would guide candidates applying to enter the University.

It said representatives of various second-cycle institutions would convene at designated regional centres and be addressed by University officials, including Deans.

It asked heads of institutions to consult their respective regional chairmen of CHASS, for further clarification about the programme and to prepare to send representatives.

The University officials would be in Accra, Koforidua and Cape Coast on July 24; Ho, Takoradi, Kumasi and Tamale on July 25; Bolgatanga and Sunyani on July 26 and Wa on July 27.
