Court cautions man for defecating on school premises

Manso-Nkwanta (Ash), July 18, GNA – The Manso-Nkwanta Magistrate court has cautioned and discharged Kojo Charles, a 23-year-old unemployed from Manso-Mpatasie, for defecating on school premises. Charles pleaded guilty and the court presided over by Mr. Edward Asante bonded him over for six months or in default he will serve 12 months imprisonment.

Police Inspector Anane Boamah told the court that following periodic defecating by unknown persons on the school premises, the unit committee mounted surveillance to track down the culprits. He said on March 16, the unit committee chairman, Mr Kofi Konadu, spotted Charles defecating on the school premises and handed him over to the police.

The judge described the offence as very shameful and warned that he would deal severely with anyone brought before him on a similar offence.
