CPP postpones Congress

Accra, July 12, GNA 96 The Convention People’s Party on Wednesday announced the indefinite postponement of its Special National Congress scheduled for Sunyani on Saturday, July 15, 2006. Dr Nii Noi Dowuona, General Secretary of the Party in a signed statement said; “after considering reports from the Regions on the state of preparations decided to postpone the Congress indefinitely.”

The statement said a meeting of the Central Committee would be convened very soon to fix a new date for the Congress.
