Foreign Minister leads delegation to Cote d’Ivoire

Accra, July 05, GNA – Nana Akufo-Addo, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, will lead Ghana’s delegation to a mini summit on Cote-d’Ivoire on July 05 to discuss the Ivorian Peace Process.

The UN Secretary General, Mr Kofi Annan, will chair the meeting, which is expected to take place in Yamoussoukro.

A statement signed by Jefferson Kwamina Sackey, Media Relation Officer of the Minister, said the Chairman of the African Union, President Dennis Sassou N’Guesso of Congo, President Thabo Mbeki of South Africa, the ECOWAS Chairman President Mamadou Tandja of Niger and President Olusegun Obasanjo of Nigeria will attend. Leaders of the various political forces including the former President Konana Bedie, former Prime Minister Allassane Ouattara and the leader of the New Forces, Mr Soro Guillaume will also attend.
