Assemblyman appeals to Ashanti Regional Minister

Kumasi, June 18, GNA – Mr Sampson Adu-Poku, assembly member for Ntribuoho electoral area in the Kwabre district has appealed to the new Ashanti Regional Minister, Mr Emmanuel Asamoah Owusu-Ansah to be development-oriented.

He said that was the only way he could bring back hopes and aspirations of the people and in addition, bring them closer to the government.

This was contained in a congratulatory message issued and signed by Mr Adu-Poku in Kumasi at the weekend.

Mr Adu-Poku noted that to administer the region efficiently and effectively required a courageous person with the requisite experience and tact, adding “I hope the new Minister would live up to the task of uniting the people for development.”

He urged the Ashanti Regional Minister to be fair and firm in the discharge of his duties since most people would throng his office to seek favours, which they did not deserve.

Mr Adu-Poku asked for God’s blessings to him in his endeavours and appealed to people in the region to offer him the needed support and co-operation to facilitate the region’s development.
