Mills consoles Adu Boahen’s family

Accra, May 31, GNA 96 Former Vice President John Evans Atta Mills on Wednesday expressed sorrow at the passing of Professor Albert Adu Boahen, a renowned historian and politician, and said by his death, Ghana had lost 93a valuable son’.

In a statement issued in Accra, Prof. Mills said he retained the very fond memories of times they spent together at the University of Ghana, where they were both lecturers.

‘I wish to express my profound and deepest regret at the passing of Professor Albert Adu Boahen,’ Prof Mills said.

‘It is my prayer and hope that his wife, children and family will find consolation in the fact that he is resting peacefully in the arms of his maker,’ he said.

Prof. Adu Boahen died on May 24 at the 37th Military Hospital in Accra after a protracted illness.
