Ahafo Ano South communities benefit from projects

Mankranso, (Ash), May 23, GNA – The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development in conjunction with the German government is providing education and health project worth four billion cedis to three communities in the Ahafo Ano South District of the Ashanti Region. The projects are a block of three classrooms with a six-seater aqua privy toilet and urinal each for the Mankranso D/A, R/C primary and Junior Secondary School (JSS), Sabronum D/A Primary and JSS, Adugyama R/C Primary and JSS as well as a maternity centre for the Adugyama St Edward’s Health Centre.

Mr Kwaku Obeng Boateng DCE for Ahafo Ano South on Friday inspected work on the projects and urged the people in the area to bury their differences and work together to speed up the development of the District.

He appealed to the chiefs, political parties and religious groups in the district to educate their followers to tolerate divergent views and forge a united front to promote socio-economic development. Mr John Nunekpeku, Head of Works Department of the District Assembly appealed to the contractors to observe all the designs and specifications in order to avoid shoddy works on the projects.
