Mayor of Washington departs

Accra, May 11, GNA – Mr Anthony Williams, Mayor of Washington, left Accra on Thursday after a five-day working visit to the country. Mr Williams, who was accompanied by his daughter and wife, signed a MOU with the Mayor of Accra, Stanley Nii Adjiri-Blackson in a sister-city agreement to enable the two cities to explore areas of mutual gains.

The Mayor also visited, Cape Coast Castle, paid a courtesy call on President John Agyekum Kufuor, Greater Accra Regional Minister, Sheikh Ibrahim Cudjoe Quaye and Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, among others. He was seen off at the airport by Mr Adjiri-Blankson and officials from the United States Embassy. 11 May 06
