Queenmother laid to rest

Atti Morkwa (C/R), April 24, GNA – The remains of Nana Adjoa Amoah II, queenmother of Atti Morkwa Traditional area in the Central Region was laid to rest at Morkwa at the weekend.

Nana Amoah, 80, died from a protracted illness at Daboase Ahmadiyya Hospital on January 28, 2006.

More than 30 wreaths were laid at the graveside, by relatives and other sympathisers.

Among the dignitaries who attended the burial ceremony were Professor Dominic Fobih, Minister of lands, Forestry and Mines, Mr. Kwamena Bartels, Minister of Private Sector Development and President Special Initiative, Mr. Isaac Edumadze, Central Regional Minister and Mr Abraham Odoom, Deputy Minister for Local Government and Rural Development.
