Lets use the media positively – Abudu

Yendi (N/R), April 23, GNA – The Abudu Gate, one of the families in the Dagbon Skin has appealed to leaders all sides of the royalty to use the media positively to tune the minds of people of Dagbon towards peace.

Mr Alhassan Iddrisu, Secretary to the Abudu Gate, told the GNA in Yendi at the weekend that there was still bad blood between some Abudus and Andanis, despite efforts to seek lasting peace for the area. “If Dagbon is to see lasting peace, the leaders of both Abudu and Andani should use the mass media positively to tune the minds of the people towards peace.”

Mr Iddrisu suggested that well-wishing leaders from both families should unite and deal with troublemakers to ensure that there was lasting peace in Dagbon.

He described the enskinment of the leaders from the Andani Gate as good and welcoming news for the whole of Dagbon and that the Abudu family would give its fullest cooperation, support and respect to the Regency.

The Secretary also described the successful burial of the late Ya-Na and the installation of the Regent as an important landmark in Dagbon history.

He said since peace and unity was key to nation building, the Abudu family would not do anything contrary to the roadmap to peace in the area.

He called for calm and appealed to all to join hands to seek peace for the area to attract investors.
