Comitttee to probe boat disaster

AN investigation is to be conducted into last Saturday?s boat disaster on the Volta Lake at Tapa-Abotoase.

The composition of the committee of enquiry as well as its terms of reference will be made known after the Easter holidays, says Professor Christopher Ameyaw-Akumfi, Minister of Ports, Harbours and Railways.

Last Saturday, a boat carrying passengers and goods from Digya to Tapa- Abotoase along the Volta Lake capsized.

There are, however, conflicting reports regarding the number of people on board the boat.
