Accra, April 11, GNA – Dr Oscar Afari Debrah, Medical Administrator and Ophthalmologist of the Bawku Presbyterian Health Services, was on Tuesday commended by the Ministry of Health for his exemplary, meritorious and dedicated service to the hospital for the past 22 years. A statement signed by Mr Dan Osman Mwin, Public Relations Officer of the Ministry, said Dr Debrah rendered healthcare services to his numerous and deprived patients in the country and in neighbouring Burkina Faso and Togo under difficult conditions and urged that his exemplary achievements be copied by the younger generation of medical and other health professionals.

Dr Debrah did not only serve the people of Bawku but also Upper East, Upper West, Northern Brong Ahafo Regions and Kete Krachi in the Volta Region in spite of the several challenges he faced both as a medical administrator and Ophthalmologist in charge of the Bawku Hospital.
