Accra Residents prefer stay at home

Accra, March 29, GNA – Streets in Accra on Wednesday were without the normal traffic congestion seen during weekdays as many residents preferred staying at home to see the eclipse which started at 0830 hours and reach its climax at 0908 hours.
The Independence Avenue was without its usual hold up between the Ako Adjei Interchange and the Liberation (Ridge) Circle. At the Tema Station many traders had not displayed their wares as they usually did. Many people were seen viewing the phenomenon with prescribed goggles.
At the Kpano Station very few passengers were seen while the drivers were engaged in hearty conversation about the rare natural phenomenon. 29 March 06
