Chief commends assembly for supporting the community

Mankranso (Ash), March 21, GNA – Nana Kwadwo Antwi, chief of Esienkyem-Bonsu near Mankranso in the Ahafo-Ano South District, has commended the district assembly for providing the community with four packets of roofing sheets towards its development projects.

The community is constructing a 10 million-cedi three-unit teachers’ quarters through communal labour to relieve the teachers of the primary school of their accommodation problems.

So far, over five million cedis had been spent on the project. Speaking to the GNA at Mankranso, Nana Antwi said the community had exhausted all funds on the project and appealed to the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area and philanthropist organisations for assistance to enable them complete the project on time. He also appealed for the construction of a new school block to replace the old one built about 21 years ago.
