IT centres for Bonwire and Buabeng-Fiema

Accra, March 15, GNA – Communication and Internet facilities are to be established for the people of Bonwire and Buabeng-Fiema in the Ashanti and Brong Ahafo Region, respectively, to facilitate visits to the tourist sites.

A statement signed by Ferdinand O. Ayim, Special Assistant to the Minister of Tourism and Modernisation of the Capital City, said the Ministry was undertaking the project in conjunction with the Ministry of Communication and Technology.

According to the statement, the communication facilities would be available for use by both tourists and the communities. “Bonwire is the home of Kente, while Buabeng-Fiema is one of the country’s famous eco-tourist sites where Geoffrey Pied Colobus and Campells Mona monkeys co-exist with human beings”, the statement said.
