Accident vehicle owners urged to collect their vehicles

Abuakwa (Ash), March 14, GNA – The Abuakwa District Police Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Maxwell Osei, has asked owners of accident vehicles parked at the frontage of the Abuakwa Police Station to remove them immediately. He said the abandoned vehicles were causing congestion and obstruction thereby posing hazard to both motorists and pedestrians on the busy Kumasi-Sunyani road.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency on the issue at Abuakwa at the weekend, DSP Osei warned that if the owners failed to remove the vehicles within a certain period, police would seek legal advice to dispose of them and the proceeds paid into government coffers. He said the accident vehicles were released to their owners for collection almost two years ago but they had failed to do so and all appeals had fallen on deaf ears.
