Police arrests suspected robbers

Wassa Akropong (W/R), March 14, GNA – The Wassa Akropong Police have arrested two suspected armed robbers at Abessewaa Gyaman and their names were given as Godless Frimpong, a student, and Jonathan Gyentuah, a welder, both 21 years. Kennedy Frimpong, an accomplice, is on the run.

A source close to the police told the Ghana News Agency that all three suspects were resident at Iron City, Kasoa in the Central Region. It said on March 04 the robbers broke into the house of Papa Aful and Maame Poley, grandparents of Godless Frimpong, and threatened Papa Aful with knives to show them where he kept his gold ornaments. The source said Papa Aful screamed for help and the whole village rushed to his aid. The robbers took to their heels but the villagers pursued them and arrested the two suspects.
