Assemblyman threatens DCE for demolishing old Kasoa market

Kasoa (C/R), March 13, GNA – Mr Mohammed Musah, alias 94, an assemblyman of Kasoa has threatened to fight the District Chief Executive of the Awutu-Effutu-Senya District Assembly, Mr Solomon Abbam Quaye, for the demolition of the old Kasoa market. He said as the assembly did not take the plight of the sellers and lives of people at the site into consideration, saying, “the battle line is now drown to counter the drastic action taken, which has brought hardship to the community”.

Musah 94, in addition, said the huge security personnel deployed for the exercise in Kasoa would not stay forever even the new market could be burnt in retaliation. He stressed that the DCE as a leader, “should have tolerate criticisms, since no mortal man is perfect and that should have changed the decision to let them remove their things themselves.

In an interview with some of the community people, they commended the DCE and the district assembly and all those, who helped in the exercise and appealed to the authorities to extend the exercise to other areas, especially those, who sold on the pavements, the front view of the hospital and the police station.
