Asante Mampong (Ash), Feb. 13, GNA – The Asante Mampong District Hospital on Sunday received bedspreads worth 18 million cedis from Amaniampong Koryekuo made up of Mampong citizens based in London. Mr Peter A. Sarkodie, MP for Mampong, on behalf of the donor group presented the gift to the Hospital.
He said the donation was the outcome of an appeal he made to the group for such assistance in aid of the Hospital during his recent private visit to London.
The MP lauded the hospital staff for their dedicated service and appealed to the people to patronize the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) to make it operational in the Sekyere West District.
Dr Emmanuel Ahiable, Medical Superintendent in-Charge of the Hospital, who received the gift, thanked the donors for their sensitivity to the plight of needy and distressed health institutions.
