Ghana has made real strides forward -Blair

Progress in Ghana shows that Africa is able to change, British Prime Minister Tony Blair believes.

In a Carte Blanche TV interview broadcast last night on South Afriva TV, he said he was optimistic about Africa’s ability to change.

“Movement in Africa has been one-way – towards democracy. There are genuine, positive signs – Ghana, for example, has made real strides forward.

Blair was in South Africa to discuss new ways forward for developing countries.

He met with President Thabo Mbeki and various world leaders at a summit of centre-left governments at Hammanskraal near Pretoria.
