Busunya (B/A), Feb. 13, GNA – Mr. Yaw Adu Abdulai, Chairman of Nkoranza North Constituency branch of New Patriotic Party (NPP) has commended members and the youth of the Party in the constituency for voluntarily harvesting a 300-hectare maize farm belonging to the MP for the area, Eric Amoateng, who is currently facing trial in the United States in a drug case.
The youth and members decided to work in the farm located in his hometown, Amoma in the Kitampo South District, to prevent it from being destroyed by bushfire.
Mr. Adu told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Busunya that the gesture of the youth showed the love they had for then embattled MP as their leader.
The NPP Chairman called on members to maintain such unity and co-operative spirit.
Mr. Adu expressed gratitude to Mr. James Kwabena Appiah-Awuah, Nkoranza District Chief Executive and Nana Kwadwo Seinti, Regional Minister for providing meals for the volunteers during the exercise. Mr. Fred Zeini, Director of Techiman-based Classic FM station contributed one million cedis while Major Derick Oduro (rtd), also gave out 200,000 cedis cash to the volunteers.
