Reverend Ministers advised against juju

Sekondi, Jan.28, GNA- The Reverend Paul Henry Dzane, Western Regional Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Church, on Saturday cautioned pastors and ministers of God against using juju to achieve their aims. He gave the advice when ordaining prophetess Sara Attuah, Rev. Mary Aba Laing-Moses and Rev. Peter Agyemang Hagan, at the Great Word Foundation Church International at Sekondi.

Two other reverend ministers of the Church, Rev Joseph Baah and Rev Jonathan Amoah, were honoured in recognition of their sacrificial work. Rev Dzane said the use of juju was becoming common among pastors and ministers of God these days, and this was causing commotion in Churches. He urged reverend ministers not to use any other source of power rather than that of Jesus Christ to accomplish their goals. Rev Dzane also expressed concern about the way some Christians entered into wrong marital relationships, adding that even though some people married in the Church, they committed fornication and adultery. He said if righteousness was absent in the Church, it was because the gospel was not been preached.

Rev Dzane urged the ordained ministers to be simple, unconcerned with tiles, not to be carried away by material gifts from members of the Church.

He asked them not to concern themselves with how to ride in cars and lead ostentatious lives and warned them against entangling in worldly matters to the detriment of the folks and ministries. 06
