Newmont Ghana offers to support family of accident victim

Accra, Jan. 26, GNA – Newmont Ghana has offered to support the family of a child, who was killed in a motor accident at the Company’s operational area at Kenyasi Number Two, on Wednesday, January 25. The accident involved a vehicle belonging to one of the contractors working for the Company and Police investigations are already underway. Mr Stephen Baffoe of the Media Relations Office of Newmont, in a statement faxed to the Ghana News Agency in Accra, expressed Newmont’s deepest condolences to the bereaved family.

It said the Company would continue to educate the people and staff and contractors working for it on the importance of road safety as well as commit resources to ensure full compliance from all organizations associated with the project’s development.
