Agyarko-Buoho citizens appeal for the issuance of identity cards

Agyarko-Buoho (Ash), Jan. 26, GNA – The chiefs and people of Agyarko-Buoho in the Kwabre district of Ashanti have appealed to the management of the Kwabre District Mutual Health Insurance Scheme to expedite action on the issuance of their identity cards to enable them benfti from the Scheme.

Speaking to newsmen, Nana Owusu-Ansah, Akwamuhene of Pampaso in Kumasi, said the people had their photographs taken about a year ago and had not received their identity cards from the management. The affected towns are, Agyarko-Buoho, Maase, Ampabame, Brofoyedru, Atrama and Edwinase.

When the Kwabre District Chief Executive, Alhaji Kwasi Yeboah was contacted, he expressed concern about the delay in issuing the identity cards to the people at Maase and Brofoyedru. He gave the assurance that the cards might be ready for distribution by February ending.

The DCE attributed the delay to the breakdown of computers at the scheme’s office.
