Fire destroys property at Breman Asikuma

Breman Asikuma (C/R), Jan. 24, GNA – A fire outbreak destroyed properties worth over 30 million cedis rendering a 52 year old farmer Issifu Issah and his family homeless at Breman Asikuma Zongo in the Central Region.

Items destroyed included personal belongings, electrical gadgets and roofing sheets.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Mr. George A. Amoah, Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District Fire officer said they were informed of the incident last Saturday night and it took the fire personnel two hours to bring the fire under control Mr. Amoah said the incident would be investigated and advised landlords to change the wiring of their houses frequently to prevent such incidents. Mr Issah and his famil y are staying with relatives and friends.
