Castle Ladies Group supports Osu Children’s Home

Accra, Dec 21, GNA – The Castle Ladies Group on Wednesday donated items worth about 15 million cedis to the Osu Children’s Home. The items included used clothing; bed sheets; pillowcases; bags of rice; plastic buckets and fruit drinks.

The group led by Mrs Mercy Bampo-Addo, Deputy Minister at the Office of the President, and Mrs Oboshie Sai Cofie, Deputy Chief of Staff, also presented an amount of five million cedis to the staff of the orphanage for dedicated service.

Mrs Sai Cofie said the gifts, which were from personal contributions from members, was to extend caring hands to the children to have a refreshing Christmas season and expressed the hoped that the support would be extended to other orphanages in the other regions in future. Mrs Millicent Nyarko, Assistant Supervisor of the Home, received the donation and thanked the group for the gesture.
