Woman kills husband

Berekum (B/A), Dec 21, GNA – A circuit court at Berekum has remanded a farmer at Seikwa for three weeks for allegedly murdering her husband.

The presiding judge Mr. P. K. Richardson ordered Elizabeth Manu, whose plea was note, to re-appear on January 09, 2006. Police Inspector Eric Tetteh Zorh said Elizabeth was married to Adu Gyamfi for 25 years.

He said in the night of December 15, the deceased wanted to have sex with her but she refused, explaining that she was not ready for him. This resulted in a struggle between the couple and while the deceased held the throat of his wife, the latter also held his male organ and pulled it.

Other inmates of the house heard the struggle and rushed to the room to separate them, Inspector Zorh said. The following day, Gyamfi complained of pains in his male organ and was taken to the Holy Family Hospital at Berekum but died shortly after admission.
