Akwaburaso residents appeal for enough potable water

Akwaburaso (Ash), Dec 20, GNA – Inhabitants of Akwaburaso, a farming community near Nyinahin in the Atwima-Mponua District, have appealed to the district assembly, non-governmental organizations and other benevolent organizations to assist them with additional boreholes to help solve an acute water shortage in the town. Opanin Kwaku Duah, an opinion leader, told the Ghana News Agency that the only one provided by the assembly was inadequate to meet the demand of the residents.

Opanin Duah said the people had resorted to fetching stream water for domestic use at the risk of contracting water borne diseases.
