NPP Accident victim buried

Wa, Dec. 20, GNA – Gordon Sulemani Najuah, 38, Wa Constituency New Patriotic Party (NPP) activist, who died in a motor accident on the Techiman – Wenchi road last Sunday was buried at the Wa public Cemetery on Tuesday.

Najuah was the only victim in the 70-seater bus that was carrying NPP supporters returning to Wa from Accra after attending the NPP national delegates conference.

The remaining nine dead were in the taxicab and pick-up vehicle that were involved in the accident at Atresu, near Aworowa on the Techiman – Wenchi road in the Brong Ahafo Region. According to Mr John Donkor, Constituency Organiser, who was also on the bus, the impact of the collision forced the door of the bus to open and the deceased, who was sitting close to the door fell off and the rear tyre ran over him killing him instantly. Among the large crowd of mourners and sympathizers at the burial were Mr Ambrose Dery, Upper West Regional Minister, Alhaji Abubakari Abdul-Rahman, Upper West NPP Regional Chairman and other party executives. The deceased left behind a child and a pregnant wife.
